This will be the game that will tell you if Freeman is the real deal. Lets hope the defense is up to it. I wont pick a winner here because the word is im negative towards the Bucs. Thats not true may we have good luck. I pick by facts and stats not feelings. |

G SEARS REINSTATED TO TEAM
The Buccaneers announced today that they have reinstated G Arron Sears to the team.
Under the terms of his reinstatement, the team will have a two-week exemption in which Sears will not count towards the Buccaneers 53-man active roster. He is eligible to practice with the team and attend all team activities. Sears was placed on the Reserve/Did Not Report list on July 31, 2009.
"We welcome Arron back to the team," said Buccaneers General Manager Mark Dominik. "Throughout this process we have remained in close contact with Arron and his agent, and this is a good opportunity for him to integrate himself back into our football team."

RB/KR SMITH NAMED NFC SPECIAL TEAMS PLAYER OF THE WEEK
The National Football League today announced that Tampa Bay Buccaneers RB/KR Clifton Smith was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 9.
Smith earned Special Teams Player of the Week honors as part of an impressive performance by the entire Buccaneers special teams unit in the victory over Green Bay. Smith finished the game with four punt returns for 54 yards (13.5 avg.) with a long of 19 and two kickoff returns for 107 yards (53.5 avg.) with a long of 83, totaling 161 return yards on the day. He also tied for the team lead with three special teams tackles. Trailing by 11 with 12:54 remaining in the game, Smith returned a kickoff 83 yards, the fifth-longest return in team history, to the Packers 17-yard line, setting up a Buccaneers touchdown three plays later to spark the comeback.
This marks the 25th time, including the second this season, that a Buccaneer has been named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week. WR Sammie Stroughter was named NFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 6. It also marked the second NFC Special Teams Player of the Week selection for Smith as he was honored in Week 9 of the 2008 season. He was also named NFC Special Teams Player of the Month for November of 2008. |
